Kasa Living is now working with some investment firms to help locate and buy buildings that Kasa Living will operate, a model known as OpCo/PropCo. A tactical buy signal just flashed in the stock market, according to JPMorgan's trading desk. AdvertisementA tactical buy signal just flashed in the stock market, according to a Tuesday note from JPMorgan's trading desk. The buy signal suggests that the S&P 500 could jump 3% within the next 20 days, which would put the index within spitting distance of its all-time high. But a bullish buy signal isn't enough to push the stock market higher on its own, JPMorgan's trading desk admitted. Instead, for this most recent buy signal to be successful, corporate first-quarter earnings will have to deliver and geopolitical tensions will have to cool down.

(CNN) — There’s a lot of talk about luxury’s rising prices, but it’s at auction that fashion is selling for the most eye-popping of sums. Fashion items from the sets of TV, film and even commercials can also garner high prices. Frank Augstein/APWhile selling prices are widely publicized, auction houses maintain something akin to attorney-client privilege when it comes to the identities of their bidders. In fact, much of the archival fashion seen on stars today has passed through auction. “That dress would now sell for $10 million because of that double whammy connection of a celebrity,” said Nolan.

The balanced portfolio – which typically allocates 60% of assets toward stocks and 40% to fixed income –could use a rethink in today's higher rate environment, according to BlackRock's Rick Rieder. "For 30 years, fixed income was a hedge," said Rieder, the asset manager's global chief investment officer of fixed income, in a phone call with CNBC. A 60/30/10 split Rather than a 60/40 split toward equities and fixed income, Rieder said he would consider a 60/30/10 allocation if he had to build a balanced portfolio. That is, he'd maintain a 60% allocation toward stocks, but keep 30% of the portfolio in "higher income, shorter duration" assets. In addition to AAA-rated CLOs, Rieder also likes European investment-grade credit as a U.S. dollar investor.
